Accomplishments ... Increased the reserves of the Mid Continent Region
of Union Texas Petroleum each year from 1979 through 1986. Developed
exploration and exploitation programs for both independent and major
companies in the Mid-Continent Region from 1986 through 1997, resulting in
major increases in such companies' reserves.
Recent Accomplishments... Caused the initial Arbuckle Discovery in the Ames Hole of
Northwestern Oklahoma; Recent exploration has centered in the areas of
Oklahoma, Garvin, and McClain Counties. Discovered a .5 million bbl oil field
in Oklahoma County. Oil Creek formation field; in Garvin County exploration
efforts led to the drilling of a two-well field that resulted showing
reserves in excess of 1 million BOE (bbls/oil equivalent)- crude oil and
natural gas, and other recent discoveries in McClain County, Oklahoma
resulting in .25 million bbls of oil reserves. A (wildcat) Misener Sand
discovery in NW Oklahoma; a Cleveland Sand discovery in Logan County,
Oklahoma and an Earisboro discovery in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.
Discovered the South Purcell Oil & Gas Field, and the North Purcell Lake
Oil & Gas Field, both in McClain County, Oklahoma.
